Fortnite has been a huge success thanks to its amazing and creative ways of entertaining the players in the last five years. The team of Epic Games has really done a commendable job at keeping the fans hooked to the ever growing battle royale.

Well it’s a known fact that Fortnite is famous for offering tons of options when it comes to choosing the best playable character skins. The title has so far brought almost all the renowned names from real-life and pop culture to its virtual, competitive arena. And recently, widely acclaimed NBA star LeBron James made a comeback to the game after a year. Yes, his skin is now back once again in Fortnite.

However, the response to the skin’s return has been unexpectedly lukewarm and highly negative to say the least. There seems to be a big reason for that though. That’s because fans wanted a different character back in the game than the skin of the LA Lakers’ star player.

Fortnite lovers want Syd back as LeBron James skin receives major backlash

There have been some really fantastic skins released in the battle royale game since its debut in 2017. And among the most well-received ones so far, Syd has become a beloved playable character for majority of the players. But she’s been absent from Fortnite for a very long time now. Epic Games‘ team hasn’t shared an announcement regarding her return to the Item Shop yet.

On top of it, it was recently revealed that the skin for NBA legend and star basketball player LeBron James is now back. Shiina, the famous industry insider, mentioned this big update on Twitter.

However, it seems like literally no one is rooting for the major comeback for LeBron’s skin in Fortnite. Because most of the fans wanted Syd back in the battle royale but she’s still not there in the Item Shop.

In such a scenario, it was expected to see many unfavorable reactions from most of the Syd lovers. They simply disliked the returning skin for LeBron James and even called it boring and trash. Hardcore fans of Syd wrote that they only want the skin for the female character as soon as possible.

Well, it will be interesting to see if the team at Epic Games will take notice of this situation or not. Hopefully, Syd will be make a return in the near future to please the fans of the game.
