A potential new pokemon for the upcoming Scarlet and Violate got leaked on the internet. The upcoming games were already hyped and anticipated by the fans. Now, these new leaks and updates are kindling the flames much wilder. 

The Pokemon Scarlet and Violate are upcoming 2022 role-playing video games developed by Game Freak and published by Nintendo and The Pokemon Company for the Nintendo Switch. These games are the 9th generation installments for the franchise. 

The new Pokemon games are highly anticipated and fans have big expectations. As a result, if something fails to make an impression, they don’t shy away from criticizing them. So far, the games were positively received in the community, as new features and some brand new additions to the classic pokemon formula were promised to be added to the new games.

But recently a leak of a potential new Pocket monster in the upcoming games has riled up the fanbase. As the design is not very attractive and up to the standards of the franchise. The fans expressed their anger and disappointment on the internet. 

A new pokemon of Scarlet and Violate got leaked? 

A group of data miners for Pokemon GO named PokeMiners leaked some footage of a brand new pokemon on the internet. According to them, a mysterious new pokemon was added to the data files of the game. They shared that there were only 3D assets of this new creature in the game’s files.

On November 4, 2022, PokeMiners made a tweet on their official Twitter page. It said, “A new Pokémon has been added with a file named “pmMystery” inside the file is it referred to as pm1080 so Pokémon Number 1080. Only 3D assets were added, no 2D yet to see.”

So far there is no confirmation if the “PmMystery” is an official monster or not. But some fans have pointed out that this creature was featured in one of the Scarlet and Violate trailers. Giving the leak somewhat confirmation, but nothing can be said for sure until the official announcements. 

How did fans react to the leak?

The fans were surprised to get an actual leak of Scarlet and Violate first, but then many of them started pointing out that the design of the creature is not very impressive. They criticized the slack of innovation and overall disregard for quality in the design of the monster. 

Some fans even pointed out that the pokemon looks like the Reddit icon.
