Developed by 2K Czech, Mafia is a typical action-crime game. So far, three installments of the game have been released with each of them receiving a remastered version under the Mafia: Trilogy project. Now, rumors have surfaced on Reddit regarding a new release titled ‘Mafia 2 Remake’.

The original Mafia II was a sequel to the first game released in 2002. Mafia II takes place in the fictional city of Empire Bay around the 1940s and 50s. It follows the criminal life of the Sicilian-American mobster and war veteran Vito Scaletta.

Similar to the Grand Theft Auto franchise, Mafia involves you completing a series of missions to defeat the game. These include activities such as casual driving, races, evading authorities, and combat.

Thus, when news about a ‘Mafia II Remake’ first surfaced, fans were highly intrigued. Apparently, this remake will be available only on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S, and PC. Furthermore, it is set to include features like Native 4K 60FPS resolution, open-world gameplay, and content that was previously cut out from the original game.

Most of the comments talk about how these features would be amazing if they were actually bought into existence.
