Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2 players have finally settled down as the devs promised the return of one of the most-loved game modes. 

Modern Warfare 2 was the biggest launch of 2022, storming the gaming market. It became the best-selling game, crossing multiple marvel movies in the collection. Plus, it was one of the titles that fans anticipated for years, with Activision releasing its prequel in 2019. Post that, the franchise primarily focused on free-to-play titles, competing against Epic Games. 

But then, they wanted to give fans a taste of their original work, leading to the launch of Modern Warfare 2. However, the community wasn’t exactly pleased with the game as it had multiple issues. Mainly because Activision added a replica of the ‘Hardcore’ mode, something that fans loved the most. And on top of that, users felt Warzone 2.0 to be much better, despite its free-to-play nature. 

So, to overcome this problem, Infinity Ward posted a tweet promising to bring back one of the fan-favorite game modes.

Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2 – Season 2 will bring back your favorite ‘mode’ 

Call Of Duty MW2 players will walk into season 2 starting February 15. And while it will feature some exciting updates, fans are eager to get their hands on a particular game mode. After all, it is one of those that they always wanted, and Infinity Ward finally promised to release it.

From Feb 15, Modern Warfare 2 will feature the original ‘Hardcore’ game mode that acts as the sunken hero of the franchise. For those uninitiated, “Hardcore mode is designed to offer an ultra hardcore competitive multiplayer experience, with the heads-up display (HUD) stripped out, friendly fire on, and an extremely fast time-to-kill, meaning just one or two bullets are enough to eliminate an enemy.”

Infinity Ward broke the news on Twitter, adding a fresh Tweet for fans. “No HUD? No problem. Hardcore is back!” they said.  

After Modern Warfare 2, Warzone 2.0 players are also in for a treat 

Infinity Ward seems to be on a roll with their updates, as Warzone 2.0 might also get a few. For instance, reports suggest the revival of 1v1 Gulag, Resurgence, and a few more things. Along with that, players will get access to better load-outs and in-game loot. So, it looks like season 2 for Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2 as well as Warzone 2.0, will be a massive hit.
