The Valorant Americas League Superweek is finally over, and Sentinels fans have received a piece of devastating news regarding their marque player TenZ. The Tier 1 American competition is currently taking twists and turns which no one expected. One team in this unpredictable league that has lots of eyes on them is Sentinels. But, they were not able to rise to the occasion quite a few times, which inadvertently affected their position in the points table.

After benching TenZ, their marque star, Sentinels went to the super week with a revamped roster, expecting to make something of it. Now, after the hectic week, the team has announced their future plans for the remainder of the league.

Without a doubt, we can say that Tyson Ngo is one of the faces of Valorant. But, currently, the iconic player is going through a rough patch. The team which came to the league with high expectations felt quite short on numerous occasions. Moreover, TenZ was affected by various personal and medical factors. Thus, a break was deemed needed for him by the management.

According to Kyedae, Tyson would have sat out the Leviatan match, if he had the choice. But TenZ did not want to leave his team high and dry, especially as Marved was not available at that time. Tyson played with an infected hand, trying to get a win. Unfortunately, it didn’t happen. Later Marved came in to replace the star momentarily during the Valorant Superweek. The team managed to get one win andrecorded a loss during this time, and now moving forward they are positioning Marved in the starting 5.

This means Tyson ‘TenZ’ Ngo would be benched for the remainder of the season. It sounds like a piece of devastating news for the Valorant fans who love to see TenZ on the field. But excruciating circumstances deem that this is a mandatory need.

Kaplan, the current Sentinels coach reiterated that TenZ would be in the team’s Valorant roster for every step of the way during the league, though he won’t be playing. We as fans can hope the ‘aimbot machine’ comes back with flying colors to once again brighten his legacy.

We can hope that this short leave from the active scene would help TenZ build back his psyche to come back even stronger. Sentinels will face Cloud 9 next. C9 at the moment is at #2 in the leaderboards with just one loss. Sentinels have a tough task ahead and they need to beat the American top dogs to keep their expectations high for Tokyo.
