Rockstar has finally released the much-awaited Next-Gen update for GTA V after a year’s worth of wait. The new update is a part of a series of updates that the title has been getting since its release. Amongst the various changes and improvements implemented in this update, one of the prominent ones is in the field of improving the VFX of the game. A user thinks that the next-gen upgrades for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X might as well be a part of a greater project like GTA VI and Rockstar might be testing it out at the moment.
I wonder if any of these VFXs are from builds of GTA VI? Like some of them don’t seem like they’d actively create for this port, but could grab from a game that’s in development that has far improved effects. It’s probably way easier than like, making new textures for GTA V.

It no doubt looks better, and i do believe this is an improvement overall, unlike the trilogy, but the changes r not significant enough considering the 2 year development period and price.

And? It's a pretty game, people like to take pictures in pretty games. It's not that hard to put 2 and 2 together. Having nicer VFX makes for better pictures therefore people are happy.

Besides this, another great upgrade that came alongside the Next-Gen update was the reduction in loading time for GTA V. The game was known for its notorious loading time in both online and story mode, which had become a frustrating factor for many players. However, the current new update for next-gen consoles makes the game much faster to load than its previous versions.
