New speculations and rumors spread across the internet as the Age of Empires, announces its 25th Anniversary Broadcast on October 25. Fans and followers of the franchise, have started expecting some great new contents from the Special Broadcast.  

Age of Empires is a Real Time Strategy (RTS) game franchise. The first game was released back in 1997. So far, there are 9 main series games and many other spin-offs. The game is very influential in the history of RTS games, and the loyal fanbase adores it. 

So it wasn’t surprising that the community went crazy when the Age of Empires announced a special Broadcast featuring, “Announcements, interviews with the team, and some surprises.” To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the franchise. 

Brand new surprises coming for the Age of Empires fans

On October 25, 2022, the official Twitter account of the Age of Empires shared a tweet announcing a special event. The tweet said, “Don’t forget! October 25th is the #AgeofEmpires 25th Anniversary Broadcast!”

The tweet featured a map of the world with details about the timings of the stream in the different parts of the world. The map had the beautiful Regal golden motifs, which have become the signature style of the series. The broadcast is promised to feature announcements, interviews with the team, and some surprises.

After the official announcement, the community started to speculate about the future of the series. As the Game journalist and the Editor of the Verge, Tom Warren, speculated that this announcement may confirm the Console port of the game.

Fans were very excited about the new announcement of the game. As there was no update from the series in the last couple of years. So when the announcement was official, the fans were ecstatic. 

The speculation by Tom Warren also sparked the community. They poured in their thoughts about what they expect from the broadcast stream. The community expressed how much they would love a console port of the game, but meanwhile, some fans pointed out that the controls of RTS games aren’t very suitable for the controllers of consoles.
