If anybody knows how to celebrate their anniversary, it’s 2K Games and Mafia. The American video game company recently announced its plans for Mafia 4 on their 20th anniversary. The massive announcement has already excited the Mafia fans.

The Mafia series offers the best action-adventure video game experience set in the 1930s. The first installment in the series came out on August 29, 2022. It became a huge hit, leading to two more installments, which were also massive hits like the first one. Further, the developers also released remastered versions of the Mafia Trilogy, which had better visuals and gameplay.

2K Games announced Mafia 4 in developments

It’s been over six years since the release of the third installment in the game, Mafia 3. The game was a huge success, but fans eagerly awaited the next title in the series. 2K Games later released more Mafia games. However, they turned out to be remastered versions of the three Mafia games.

However, the latest announcement from the developers might calm the fans. The 2K Games announced on the first game’s 20th anniversary that they are working on a new installment to the Mafia series. However, this has also led to many speculations about the upcoming game.

There is a lot of speculation that the upcoming Mafia game or Mafia 4 wouldn’t be a sequel. Instead, it would be a prequel to the Mafia trilogy. The upcoming Mafia game might possibly revolve around Don Salieri and his rise to becoming the criminal boss whom the past three games’ protagonists Tommy Angelo served.
