Fans get overwhelmed as the popular Horror game franchise Silent Hill teases updates and potential new titles for the series. These reveals are set to drop in their upcoming “transmission”. After years of hiatus, the return of the series has created some massive waves of hype and expectation among the gaming community. 

The first Silent Hill game came out back in 1999. The physiological horror and the terrifying setting of the game made it a hit. Fans all around the world loved the game and praised it for what it managed to achieve, even within the limits of the first-generation consoles. 

The massive success of the first game resulted in many sequels and spin-offs. But the franchise wasn’t only limited to the games. Two feature-length Movies and many books were also adapted from the series. But for quite a while, the series went completely silent.

No news about new updates or games were coming from them. The community was very disheartened until a brand new ray of hope arrived as SH promised to announce new updates about the series in the new Transmission.  

What is Silent Hill Transmission? 

On October 17, the official Twitter page of Silent Hill announced that “The latest updates for the SILENT HILL series, will be revealed during the #SILENTHILL Transmission on Wednesday, October 19th, at 2:00 PM. PDT.” Making the fans ecstatic with the return of the beloved series.

The transmission will happen on October 19. It will be available on their official website. The official Twitter used SH 2’s tagline, “In your restless dreams, do you see that town?” Silent Hill, art director, and monster designer, Masahiro Ito also retweeted the announcement, which made the fans speculate that this Silent Hill may bring back the original team.

There have been some rumors that multiple studios are working on a new silent hill game. Which was later confirmed by the director of the Silent movie Christophe Gans. But there is no clarification about what will this game be. Some speculate that it could be a remake of Silent Hill 2  or maybe a new title in the series.
