Fans Hold Off Their Mockery of Ubisoft as Future Marvel Game Gets a Huge Update

Marvel universe has expanded a lot in the recent years, not just in terms of comic books and live action adaptations, but in the video gaming industry as well. While there were only a handful of good titles a decade ago, fans are now getting tons of new IPs.
To name a few, there is Guardians of the Galaxy, Marvel’s Spider-Man, the upcoming Midnight Suns, Wolverine, and Future Revolution on the mobile platform among others. Lately, however, there’s been an interesting rumor doing the rounds on the internet regarding a Blade video game from Assassin’s Creed developer Ubisoft.

Fans take a dig at Ubisoft after it denies the rumor of a Marvel game on Blade
Blade has been a very legendary character in the Marvel comics. He was created by Marv Wolfman and penciller Gene Colan. Originally, he made his first appearance in 1973′ The Tomb of Dracula #10. He is basically a vampire hunter and has been adapted in various forms of media.

Popularly, he was portrayed by actor Wesley Snipes in the Blade trilogy in the early 2000s. Additionally, he has been featured in multiple TV shows as well. Blade will soon make an official debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Actor Mahershala Ali will be seen in the role of the iconic character.
There was also a recent rumor that gained significant buzz, indicating that a Blade game is in the making. Moreover, another interesting thing about it is that it mentioned Ubisoft as the developer on the project.

However, to everyone’s surprise, Ubisoft eventually came forward to outright deny any such rumor. It’s a rare scenario to witness a studio giving out a clarification like this.

As soon as the developer and publisher mentioned that it’s not making a Marvel game, fans of the character wasted no time in expressing their reactions. To be precise, most of them mocked Ubisoft while writing that it’s good they are not working on the project at all. Otherwise, it would have been a complete disaster, as per some of the users.
