Ubisoft has finally released the highly expected gameplay trailer of Far Cry 6. This mega-successful franchise has survived the test of time and now it is about to release its sixth edition. The studio recently organized a 40-minute long worldwide gameplay reveal that deep-dived into the game.

It showcased weapons, characters, and famous actor Giancarlo Esposito as Antón Castillo. The famed actor will once again take on the role of a gangster in this edition of Far Cry.

Far Cry 6 is going to cater for the owners of older-gen consoles

In a conversation with VGC, developer David Grivel shed light about the title’s performance in older gen consoles, and how Ubisoft is being very cautious. The title is going to run at 4k/60fps in next-gen consoles, while the older-gen will see a downscale from that point. The studio does not wish to abandon older gen consoles like Cyberpunk 2077.

He promised that the game runs fine on both older gen consoles and next-gen devices. Gamers will not face any issues running the game, on both PS and Xbox.

“What I can say, and I cannot go so much in details about specs or things like that, is that both on the previous generation and the new Xbox Series and PS5 generation, the game is running fine. One detail I can add about the new generation is that it allowed us to run the game at 60 FPS and in 4K, which is really cool.

I test it on kits at the company and I can definitely see that as a great thing on the new generation, but that doesn’t mean that the previous generation is abandoned in any way. We’re really, really cautious about that, so we’ll show more detail and more info very soon”
