Finally, Ballon d’Or Is Coming to EA Sports FC 24 For the First Time

Similarly, another favorite is an EA Sports game for soccer, the FIFA franchise. With the series rebranding itself, EA will bring a big change to the new EA Sports FC 24 this year.

In addition to a host of new features to the game, EA Sports FC 24 will feature the prestigious Ballon d’Or award. The award will be available in the career mode for the game.

EA Sports FC 24 brings the celebrated French trophy to the game

The FIFA franchise was one of the biggest releases every single year. As the series brought out new features every single year, 2023 became a big turning point for EA. As the series prepares to go into a new era for the franchise, a fresh addition came to light.

EA announced the arrival of the Ballon d’Or in the game. The highly coveted award is given out to the best player every single year through an elaborate system of voting. What makes it even more special for EA fans is the award never made it into the game before. This time, it will be present in the career mode. It presents an entirely new feature added to the career mode.

Fans are incredibly excited, especially since career mode got boring after a while. It seemed repetitive. While EA did not reveal how the game decides the winner of the award, it looks most likely that it will base itself on player ratings from individual games.

EA heads into a new era after parting ways with FIFA

The change to EA Sports FC 24 is a new part of the game’s identity. Last year, EA’s deal with FIFA ended, meaning they could no longer use the rights to name their game FIFA. While it does not mean a change in the gameplay fans came to love, it will certainly take fans some time to adjust to the game’s new name.
