Following the Return of Mark v Armor Set, Halo Infinite Jumps Over 60 Spots on Global Top Sellers Steam Charts

It has been a great season for FPS gaming. Major industry developers banking on some hardcore nostalgia has certainly worked wonders for the shooting genre. While Fortnite’s Chapter 4 is enjoying the limelight for its OG season, another FPS classic Halo Infinite is reliving its glory days. Following the launch of Season 5 for Halo Infinite a recent addition to the game has helped the fans reminisce about the “most iconic Armor set ever”! 

Ever since 343 Industries launched Season 5 of Halo Infinite, the game has been showing some good signs of progress. The servers were constantly witnessing growing numbers, and the reception seemed promising enough when compared to the last few years, which had recorded a decline in player base. Apparently, the new innovations made in Season 5 have been a game changer for Halo Infinite. In one similar episode, a recent introduction to the new season has helped the FPS jump over 60 spots on Steam charts.

Among all the innovations and features introduced in the new Halo season, the confirmation of the homecoming of a legendary Armor became the highlight. The developers announced bringing back the iconic Mark V Armor to Infinite’s shop. Moreover, 343 officially revealed the Armor was being brought with some exciting enhancements. However, unlike some previous titles, Mark V was a paid purchase in Season 5. 

The statistics reveal the Armor has turned out to be a lucky charm for the new season. In the last 24 hours, Halo Infinite had jumped from 115 to 21 in Global Top Sellers on Steam. The massive jump is evidence of the hype currently built around the game.

For those unaware, the Mark V armor first featured in Halo: Combat Evolved 2001 and is still considered one of the most iconic features in the franchise. Thus, when the developers had details on the homecoming for CE’s 22nd anniversary, it was mounted to be special! 

While the paid tag invited some mixed reactions from the community, a strong share of FPS fanatics were looking forward to buying the iconic armor. The Mark V armor became available in the shop on November 7, Tuesday. 

The magnificence of Mjolnir in Season 5

The paid purchase comes along with a lot of exciting additions to the armor as revealed by the developers.

“The Master Chief’s iconic Mjolnir Mark V armor from Halo: CE has been lovingly and authentically recreated as an Armor Kit in Halo Infinite, you can find it in the shop on November 7. This offer comes with: Viridescent Ring armor coating, Cinder, Ring armor coating, and Aurum Evolved visor. Both the Mark V and Infinite Mark VI armor will be available as Armor Kits, which have also been updated and enhanced for Season 5, as they now allow for coating, visor, emblem, and FX customization,” the makers stated in the announcement.

343 has certainly focused on making the Armor more open to customization and worth a player’s investment in the game. The numbers only seem to be growing after the introduction of Mark V and it won’t be surprising if the developers decided to bring back some other OG features from Combat Evolved on its anniversary. After all, the OG fever is high!
