Valkyrae opens up about her shift to platforms in a podcast with Toast

In this podcast by the YouTube channel Offline TV, Toast and Valkyrae open up about their deals and contracts with various streaming platforms. Furthermore, Rae provides some very interesting insights about her contract with YouTube.

While there were speculations about Rae moving to Facebook after completing a successful run of 2 years on YouTube, Rae defies all of these rumors by announcing her decision to stay on YouTube. She says, “I am actually just staying on YouTube. It’s not a big deal.” Like everyone else, Toast wanted to know more about her decision to continue with this streaming platform which she joined in the early 2020s.

Rae further continues,No, I just like messing with my community, like they really think I’m going to Facebook. So, before my contract ended, like my last few streams, I was just baiting them. I was like listen, no matter where I go, just know my decision was for myself and my family.”

Clearly, the fans did fall into Rae’s trap as she had announced an indefinite hiatus ahead of this new deal with YouTube.

Fans had even started making Facebook profiles and accounts just so that they could not miss out on their favorite streamer’s content. On being asked about fans criticizing any possible move to Facebook, Rae answers, “I think most people are pretty logical about like they understand like it’s literally important, it’s a deal, it’s something like that benefits me, like obviously I have to provide, prioritize me.”

However, she does mention some people hitting out on her for being a long-term member of a certain platform and leaving all of a sudden. This was one of the reasons why she had to face depression and anxiety while switching platforms in her initial years.
