Fortnite was recently banned by Apple, preventing millions from downloading the game. Apple has now disallowed its users to use the ‘Sign in with Apple’ feature to sign into Fortnite. This will be applied from September 11th, and Fortnite has already told its users to update their email-ID and passwords. In case they fail to do so, users might lose access to their Fortnite Accounts.

Players who used ‘Sign in with Apple’ didn’t have to set up a password, but now they need to set one up before the clock strikes 12 on the 11th. They need to login to the Change Your Password page and create a new password.

In case of Failure to Update Email and Password

After September 11th, the “Sign in with Apple” will disappear and users won’t be able to log in without an email. However, if they fail to do so, the account can be restored manually. Users have to click “CONTACT US” and they will receive a  verification code through an email.

The code will have the format ABC-123-DEF

In case the users fail to update their password but are using the correct email, they can click on the “Forgot Password” link and follow the steps.

Fortnite Ban and Recent Developments

All of these events have taken place after Fortnite was banned from Google and Apple app stores for using an unapproved payment mechanism in their game.

In retaliation to this ban, Epic Games filed a lawsuit against Apple for removing the game. This ban might end up for a year if reports from Epic Games are to be believed.
