Epic Games put Fortnite leaps and bounds above its competitors when it introduced in-game events. These events ranged from short sketches to all-out raves. Historically, Epic has used the events to either introduce an in-game collaboration or further a particular storyline. As a result, some events are far more captivating than others. Keeping that in mind, let’s run down some of the greatest events in Fortnite history.
Marshmello’s concert in Fortnite
In order to introduce Marshmello as a skin in Fortnite, Epic Games hosted a Marshmello concert in Pleasant Park. The experience was surreal as a virtual version of the DJ set the stage of fire with his most famous hits. During this event, players from all across the map gathered on the stage and were allowed to jam to the music. Those who attended the event even received a Marshmello themed glider.

Travis Scott’s Astronomical event
Keeping with the theme of concerts in Fortnite, Travis Scott’s Astronomical event took everything that was good about the Marshmello concert and improved upon it. It featured Travis Scott at the peak of his powers, performing singles like ‘Antidote’, ‘Goosebumps’ and even tracks from his latest album such as ‘The Scotts’. The show had everything from pyro and fireworks to a giant version of Cactus Jack entertaining the masses.
Fortnite Final Showdown
The final showdown was one of the coolest events in Fortnite Chapter 1. Epic Games set up this storyline throughout Season 9. Fan theories ran wild after players discovered a monster eye hidden in the ice. Furthermore, we also got to see the inhabitants of Fortnite island build the Mecha Team Leader robot. However, it was the culmination of the event that made it one to remember.
A final showdown between the monster and robot showcased just how powerful the two beings are. In the end, the mecha team robot came out on top after a smooth fight-ending sequence.

The Device Event
Being the first live event of Chapter 2, players were not sure what to expect from this event. It was clear that Midas had devious plans for the stolen device on Fortnite. The device and storm both matched each other’s power, sending the battle royale world into turmoil. It is a landmark event in the game as it set the precedent for events to come in Chapter 2.
