Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7 began back on the 8th of June. Epic turned the battle royale world on its head with the alien ‘Invasion’ theme. At the beginning of the season, we saw an alien mothership abduct the spire from the map. As a result of this update, alien invaders took over Fortnite island. Players could now battle both alien and IO agents across the map. New alien technology and vehicles also made their way into Fortnite.
Epic Games resolved the demand for mobility items in the game with the addition of UFOs. UFOs could be obtained from areas on the game’s map highlighted in purple. They also featured a host of abilities like lasers, boost, and even beaming a player into the sky. Alien technology could be used to combat these UFOs or other opponents. High-powered weapons like the Rail Gun and Pulse Rifle proved extremely effective during the early stages of the season.

Major changes in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7
One of the biggest addition of the season came in the form of the new skins. Rick and Morty finally made their way into the battle royale world. Furthermore, Superman joined them to assist in the fight against the alien invaders. We also got a better glimpse into the life of the IO agent Slone and her mission in Fortnite.
Coral Castle has possibly been one of the most underutilized spots on the Fortnite map. This is probably because players were expecting an Atlantis-themed location instead. Thus, fans were pleased when they heard that the alien mothership would be abducting the town and replacing it with something new.
Alien Trespassers were also able to takeover Holly Hatchery and implement low gravity zones. From what we know, the IO is leading the fight against these invaders and is still in possession of Kevin the Cube. Could we see them use the cube to bring down the giant alien mothership in the sky?
