The Fortnite island is getting ready for the annual Fortnitemares event. To hype up the players, Epic even released a short trailer for the upcoming Halloween-themed occasion. In Fortnite Season 8, players have already witnessed a variety of new changes and with Fortnitemares 2021, there will be a ton of things happening.

Thanks to leakers, players can get a fair idea of what to expect. That said, Epic is yet to present us with the dates or other crucial details for the Halloween-themed event.

As per the notable Fortnite leaker HYPEX, this year’s Fortnitemares can be a bit different. The leaker states that Epic will add some new gameplay mechanics with the upcoming event. Some in-game files hint at the same. You can check out HYPEX’s tweet below.

Another major theory going around is that this year’s Fortnitemares will happen in the center of the map, just like the previous ones. While Epic has not confirmed the location, it’s still highly likely. Leakers have even pointed out that all the cubes will be heading towards the center of the Fortnite map. So the event taking place at this location won’t come as a surprise.

Players can even expect an updated version of the Horde Rush LTM, which might feature different kinds of zombies, abilities, and features. There even might be some items that will make players invisible to the zombies.

The final boss for the Horde Rush LTM mode will be the monster codenamed “Caretaker.” The monster was earlier thought to be Siren Head. The Caretaker will give players 50 cube shards, heals, one or multiple legendary/mythic weapons once defeated.

As we get closer to this year’s Fortnitemares event, Epic will shed light on the upcoming event and might even show us some cool new things to get everyone all hyped up. Apart from all this, there will be numerous new skins and other cosmetics on offer as well.
