Fortnite is entering a new chapter in December. With a new chapter, the story of Chapter 3 would end. But the story of Fortnite and its chapters are not always very clear to its fans. Whatever trailers that Epic releases every season are sometimes missed or skipped by players.

So here we are, with a brief of everything that happened during Chapter 3 Season 4. Please keep in mind that we have only mentioned those weeks here during which some sort of story progression happened.

Fortnite chapter 3 season 4 week 1

Week 1 starts with The Origin, The Visitor, The Scientist, and The Paradigm researching some chrome substance in an underground bunker. And the substance consumes everyone but the paradigm, who then escapes to her homeworld “Reality 659”.

It is revealed that Herald is actually taking over the island using the chrome substance. Herald then goes ahead and builds a palace on the ruins of the sanctuary and starts fiddling with a chrome sphere.

Paradigm also eventually captures the first point of interest: The Old volcano. The only thing that survives is the Pirate ship called the Driftwood, which just floats in the air somehow.

Season 4 week 2

During our mission with Jonsey and The Scientist’s eccentric AI, players find the once lush, now-dead reality tree. And players also find out that The Paradigm was actually using its roots to communicate with us. After completing various missions, players finally are able to hear her transmissions.

Next, Jonsey and Amy get over their differences and decide to work together in order to save the Island.

Season 4 week 3

During week three, any player with Bytes skin-equipped was able to interact with certain chrome TVs. Bytes get recruited by the Nothing. And he kept coming back for more and more gifts that he got. He slowly starts losing his mind in the process.

During this time, Chrome consumes Sleepy Sound but No-Sweat insurance starts saving crucial buildings in Points of Interest, like The Lighthouse.

And then some new POIs started dropping, like the Lake House from chapter 1 and then a mansion two weeks later.

Season 4 week 5

Bytes is now turning more and more chrome by the day. He is said to be the first person in generations to fulfill nothing’s challenges. And then The Nothing offers him to be its Warrior. And if someone else tries to get in touch with The Nothing, they just get rudely sent away. Other than this, nothing else happens during this week.

Season 4 week 7

This time the Herald finally makes a move. And player character is sent to warn Island inhabitants. While telling everyone players to notice that Evie has the most unique response, she says “So this is how it happens… I need to send a transmission.” Turns out she is a sleeper agent of the Piece syndicate on the island.

Chrome jam Junction gets obliterated by chrome, but Crackshot’s cabin is saved by the insurance balloons. This time, islanders end up losing several POIs. And finally, Bytes gives in to The Nothing and becomes its weapon.

Season 4 week 9

Chrome spreads far enough to change the lobby screen. And Tilted Towers get consumed by chrome, but the insurance balloons save another landmark The Clocktower.

Then players are told that Jonsey and Amy were working covertly and now summon players for help. Now, this changes the world enough to let players listen to the Paradigm’s next transmission.

Turns out the Zero point was sending vibrations last season as it was asking for help. But it has finally fallen dormant. And Players are asked by the paradigm to ask Jonsey about the loop breaker project.

Players speculate that the project hints toward Midas. Now players are asked to look for the Scientist’s research and send it to Paradigm through a bushranger who is actually a spy. Players finally get the last transmission from the paradigm, thanking them for all they did.

Season 4 week 10

Bytes speaks to The Nothing one final time. It turns out that Bytes is now a warrior of the last reality. And the cube queen that players defeated a while ago is either alive or is taken over by The Herald.

All of this lore and all these pieces would be combined finally on December 3, during the upcoming Fracture event. Players really have a lot to uncover in the coming days. They still are looking for answers about Midas, and it seems like this upcoming event would be answering almost every question they might have.
