All this occurred while a ‘shapeless man’ observed from a distance. With the aid of A.M.I.E and Kinetic Ore, Stellen was successful in creating the Gate. In the test runs, A.M.I.E discovered that The Scientist was in great peril, so she created a special suit and went into the rift gate. 

Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2: What happened next?

Being pressured by the prospect of destruction by the shapeless being and the Ageless Champion’s eagerness, the Rift warden was forced to turn on the Rift Gate. Although the machine threatened annihilation, the Warden went ahead with the plan. But thanks to a saboteur’s manipulation, the Gate failed to stabilize. 

As a result, the Gate was destroyed, and a rift tore open in the sky. Seeing that he has nothing else to do, Warden left everything for the stars to decide. From this point, the story of chapter 4, season 2, takes place. The season opens with giant buildings making their way through the rift.

This individual is revealed to be Triarch Nox. The players have to help Evie re-establish the connections. However, Evie warns players that all of their intel on the army of the Last Reality has been corrupted by Triarch Nox. According to her, a huge inter-syndicate war is about to come in the future of Fortnite! In chapter 4 Season 3 maybe?
