Video games have a thin line in them where the fun part and the competitive nature of an individual can come face to face very fast very soon. And thus most video games don’t allow gamers to apply any sort of cheats or codes that can ruin the experience for other gamers. That is what Epic Games is trying to do recently, as they are banning gamers from using any kind of external devices to play Fortnite or similar games.
It is well known that many professional players use external adapters or devices to help them in playing the games more competitively and efficiently. But now these devices, including the very popular Cronus emulator, are getting players banned.

What was the Fortnite ban about?
Normally, players use emulators and hardware accelerators to help them play video games even more efficiently. But these devices and hardware give an extra edge to the players, making it harder for other casual gamers to play the games. Thus, Epic Games had decided to ban any such account that is using any third-party hardware to play games.

Notably, it is very hard for any game to trace these devices, thus it is thought by many fans that the game will ban the streamers if they are found streaming using these devices. This is, in fact, a plausible explanation of how the game might know who to ban and who not to.

According to the official website of Cronus, “Cronus Zen is a breakthrough device founded on the rich legacy of CronusMAX, universally recognized as the world’s definitive controller emulation and scripting technology. Zen moves that legacy forward with a next-generation, state-of-the-art design, giving gamers the most powerful video game controller conversion technology ever created, putting full control back in your hands.”
Basically, the emulator helps the players to play video games, especially online games, in a much smoother and lag-free experience. Although it might sound good to many, the actual thing that happens is that many casual players are not able to keep up with the pace. Also, as most games are cross-platform, it actually becomes hard for console players to keep in rank with the PC players.
