Fortnite Datamine Reveals New Additions As Epic Games’ Vacation Draws to a Close

The employees at Epic Games are coming back after spending their vacations and are going to focus a lot more on Fortnite updates. Fortnite has been a jewel in the crown for Epic Games and Chapter 3 Season 1 is proving worth the hype. Leaker and data miner Shiina posted about the possible developments that may come in following the holidays on their Twitter account.
Fortnite might get some interesting updates post-Epic Games’ vacation
Leaker Shiina posted on Twitter reminding their followers that tomorrow would be the last date of Epic Games’ vacation. They have assumed that the next update will most likely drop by January 11 and the next content update would be a new Shield Keg healing item dropping this Tuesday.

The Shield Keg is a rare throwable item which, if deployed, starts sprinkling a shield within a 1-tile radius of the players. It heals players 2 Shield per tick, thereby healing 4 Shield per second. When thrown by a particular player, all allies within the squad can be pinged so that they can recharge their shields. The item has a splash range of 1 Tile and players can stack a maximum of 2 of it.

While the Epic employees indeed were on holiday, they had to face several difficulties during their vacations. The Fortnite servers went abruptly offline and fans were outraged over the same on Twitter. The servers went offline for three hours two days in a row and displayed the message, “You do not have permission to play”.
Winterfest 2021 in Fortnite
Besides this, the Winterfest event is going on in full swing in the game. This event unfolded some amazing presents for the fans which included the Frozen Peely skin. The skin was released early during Christmas and fans were quite excited to grab it. The Winterfest event includes several quests and completing them will get players a Snowmando Board Glider and Frosty Back Bling.

The Winterfest event will conclude on January 6, 2022. There is one last skin to be claimed- the Mr Dappermint Fortnite outfit, which is free, similar to the rest of the rewards. Players can grab it once it unlocks in the Winterfest tab.
Needless to say, the Fortnite devs have indeed worked relentlessly even through their vacations to give fans the best battle royale experience!
