While all the Fortnite fans recently witnessed the first in-person LAN event in FNCS, after a long time, they were also treated to a massive announcement regarding the battle royale title itself. Towards the end of the FNCS Invitational, Epic Games finally dropped the anticipated news on the next major chapter.

Yes, Chapter 4 is official now, as revealed by the devs during the FNCS Invitational. While making all the fans delighted, Fortnite shared the intel on a big live event that will mark the conclusion of the ongoing Chapter 3.

Fortnite Chapter 3 Finale in December 2022 will mark the beginning of Chapter 4

The current Chapter is drawing to a close much sooner than everyone imagined. To make it all official, Epic Games just recently announced the Fracture live event, which will ultimately end the run of Chapter 3 in the battle royale. Interestingly, it’s been only 12 months since the soon-to-culminate Chapter.

In comparison, the first and second Chapters of Fortnite ran for two years each. But Chapter 3 seems to wrap up very early, ahead of the next major offering going forward.

Fortnite’s makers have revealed the Fracture live event for Chapter 3, set to take place on December 3, Saturday from 4 PM ET. As always, players will need to be inside the battle royale nearly an hour before in order to confirm their spot in the lobby.

Strangely, Epic’s team hasn’t revealed any other information about the duration of the Fracture event. Speaking of what to expect from it, then players might witness some breathtaking cinematic shots or in-game sequences. But one thing which is clear is that Chapter 4 will start immediately as soon as the live event is over.

The release date of Fortnite Chapter 4 is yet to be unveiled officially. However, if the date of the Fracture event is anything to go by, then players may end up seeing the beginning of the new adventure soon after Chapter 3’s finale, either on December 4th or December 5th. Either way, the excitement level will surely be on cloud nine for the hardcore lovers of the battle royale game.
