Fortnite Leaks Suggest Big Changes are Going down At the Heart of the Map

The Fortnite map underwent a make-over after the Alien Mothership crashed onto the island. This led to Kevin the Cubes taking over and new locations like The Sideways started popping up.
The cubes have been changing locations, and it looks like their final stop is the heart of Fortnite Island. A recent leak has pointed out that this gathering of the cubes will change the map’s center.
Fortnite Season 8 map is getting a new POI

According to a recent leak by HYPEX, Epic is planning something big for Season 8. The center of the map will undergo changes leading to a new POI called the Cube Town. We currently don’t know exactly when all of this will happen. But a few things are known. HYPEX asserts that the Cube Town will have multiple chests all over the POI, as well as cube bounce pads. Going by how things are now, all of this can happen during the Fortnitemares event.
The middle of the map has changed every season this chapter except S8 (so far), but it's planned to be changed to a "Cube Town" full of chests & cube bounce pads this Fortnitemares when all the cubes reach the middle!

All the cubes, including the Queen Cube, may collide with each other. This can change the center of the map as we know it. The cubes have been moving for quite some time now and previous rumors have hinted at the same. When the spire got destroyed in Fortnite Season 7, the Zero Point was released and is believed to be somewhere under the surface.
It’s a matter of time when players get to see Zero Point again. Until that happens, what remains to be seen is what the cube’s energy does to the island. The new Cube Town POI will continue the culture of map changes every season. Epic might even reveal a mystery villain or NPCs when the new POI gets added. It is unlikely that Epic will remove all the cubes as Fortnite Season 8’s theme revolves around them.
