“Beyond a Joke at This Point” – Fortnite Pro Raises Voice Against Cheating Which Is Ruining a Prestigious Competitive Event

The world of Esports has evolved since it was first introduced many years ago. Now, there are various opportunities for budding gamers to showcase their talent in some of the most reputed events. Gaming has become a permanent profession for those who are passionate. Moreover, when it comes to the most renowned competitive events in the world right now, there is not one bigger than Fortnite. The battle royale from Epic has presented endless chances for gamers to play and earn big by participating in tournaments based on the ever-growing community.

Lately, however, Fortnite’s community has witnessed an unwanted situation. For the uninitiated, Fortnite Competitive has recently seen an increase in cheating and hacking in various matches. What’s alarming to note is that such instances have emerged during competitive games involving prizes worth millions of dollars. And as a result of no actual restriction, many cheaters have been able to win against regular players using unfair means.

Fortnite pro Lachlan is upset with the game’s lack of action against cheaters

Lachlan, who is a professional player from the Australian eSports team PWR, recently took to Twitter to share his thoughts about escalated cases of cheating in Epic’s battle royale. Especially when it comes to the competitive side of the game.

He dropped a brief clip of an anonymous player who was seen competing against others in a high-level tournament. As one can see in the video, the player, who’s allegedly a cheater, goes on to take shots from a distance through trees.

Lachlan mentioned in his tweet that such cases of blatant cheating are ruining Fortnite’s competitive aspect. And that there’s nothing others can do regarding the situation. “Blatant cheaters win and ruin another competitive event in OCE Beyond a joke at this point,” he wrote. It will be interesting to see how the makers of the battle royale will handle this entire situation.

Without a doubt, stopping instances of cheating is very necessary for tournaments as well as regular games. Hopefully, the community will get good news sooner than later.
