The wait is over. Forza Horizon 5 is making its launch on PC as well as in Xbox console (for both current and previous generations). No doubt, it was one of the most satisfying surprises of E3 2021. Forza Horizon 4 has been ruling over hearts for almost 3 years now, thanks to weekly and monthly updates, as well as accessibility on game pass on Xbox as well as PC. Speaking with Eurogames in an interview, Principal Game Designer, Mike Brown, commented on the Xbox console. He said that it is not so different from a lower-spec PC. He also stated that the studio is feeling great about the versions of the game.
”Well, from Horizon 3 we have already been on PC, and that means that we are already used to deliver a game on a whole range of system specifications. So, having to have the game work on Xbox One, Xbox series consoles, PC isn’t that different. I think having to support the Xbox one console is exactly the same amount of effort as it is to support a lower spec PC. We’re actually feeling pretty great about all versions of the game, to be honest.”

Mike Brown also answered why Forza Horizon 5 is set in Mexico. He said that the studio wanted Forza Horizon 5 to be the biggest entry in the entire series yet also wanted it to be as diverse as possible. Mexico is like a whole world as it has volcanoes, hills, snowy mountains, canyons, jungles, ancient cities, hotels, and multiple flavors of deserts. All of this comes together so beautifully to create an open world to explore. Every area has something new to explore and there’s a new experience at every step. And top of all these, Mexico has a pleasant culture that everyone loves. The art, the music, the people, everything is just welcoming. He also confirmed that there will be seasons in Forza Horizon 5.
Forza Horizon 5 is all set to launch on Xbox series, PC, Xbox series X, Xbox series S, and Xbox One on November 9, 2021. Are you ready to witness the thrill? Let us know in the comments down below.
