Sunday was a day full of surprises for Formula One fans as they tuned in to watch the world championship title decider race, Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, with Red Bull’s Max Verstappen and Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton with equal points before the nail-biting race unfolded. And Forza Horizon 5 fans were definitely glued to the screens.

But it wasn’t meant to be Hamilton’s day as Max Verstappen beat the seven-time world champion, claiming his first-ever Formula One World Drivers’ Championship. Now, as a token of appreciation for Verstappen’s unbelievable achievement, a Forza Horizon 5 player/fan has designed a Red Bull and Verstappen-themed car, congratulating the Dutch driver.

Forza Horizon 5 player congratulates Verstappen in style

Horizon 5’s livery editor is one of the strongest tools the title has to offer. And it certainly does justice to the games’ much-deserved accolades at Game Awards 2021. Forza Horizon 5 bagged in three honors, Innovation in Accessibility, Best Audio Design, and the Best Sports/Racing Game of the year.

Since the games’ launch in November, players have gone wild with their innovative creations/recreations. And the Max Verstappen livery is definitely up there, amongst the best, if not the best one, the community has come across.

It was originally posted by Reddit user, u/Ptryyy, on a Forza Horizon series dedicated subreddit, r/ForzaHorizon. The spectacular design has garnered high praises from both F1 and Horizon 5 fans.

And that is when Verstappen caught up to Hamilton’s car, who initially had a 12s advantage. After the Latifi incident, courtesy of a Virtual Safety Car, Max was neck-to-neck with Hamilton; ultimately overtaking him with just seconds left.

This cliff-hanging race certainly deserved a Forza Horizon 5 honor. And the player has definitely done justice to the Red Bull and their generational star, Max Verstappen.
