The world of Call of Duty is known for its intensity when it comes to action, dark themes, and political inspirations. But when it comes to some of its installments, then the tone can be way more aggressive sometimes. And it seems like Infinity Ward is set to do just that with 2022’s Modern Warfare 2.
As is already known by now, the developer is once again helming another Call of Duty, with this year’s upcoming Modern Warfare 2. According to reputed COD leaker and industry insider, RalphsValve of Twitter, the game will consist of a very dark tone and supposed brutality in its campaign.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will reportedly have a brutal way of storytelling in the campaign
In a tweet, Ralph mentioned that an associate from none other than Infinity Ward recently provided a key detail. The person commented on what to expect from MW 2 in terms of its way of storytelling.
And according to the tweet, the developer will reportedly make Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2’s Campaign brutal.

Moreover, Infinity Ward won’t shy away from what it wants to convey through an intense and heavier approach to the game’s campaign. Again, as per Ralph, it’s ready to take the “brunt” for MW 2, while being pleased with the messages it will deliver.
In case you missed it, 2019’s Modern Warfare was no slouch at all when it comes to giving players moments that are not for the faint of heart.
And being a sequel to that installment, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will surely continue this approach.

So far, there’s not much information confirmed about the upcoming entry. And any leak or rumor, for now, should be taken with a grain of salt.
Modern Warfare 2 is set to come out later in 2022. It will supposedly arrive for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X and S, Xbox One, and PC.
