Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is yet to receive an official date of arrival. However, it’s been already surrounded by various leaks and speculations when it comes to pre-release theories and predictions.

Will there be a new ‘Prestige System’ in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2?
The Twitter account CODMW2Informer recently shared an interesting tweet regarding the new entry set to come out in 2022.
While mentioning the ‘Prestige System’, the page wrote that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will have it remodeled. Simply put, there might be a brand new or “even better” Prestige mode in the upcoming installment.

For those uninitiated, Prestige is a system that is unlocked after a COD player achieves the highest rank. Basically, it can enable the player to continue receiving more rewards once they finish all the available character levels in the game.
This Prestige System was first seen in 2007’s Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, and it made a return in 2021’s COD: Vanguard as well.
Depending on the games, the mode gets unlocked after the players accomplish a certain level. It will be interesting to see at what level Modern Warfare 2 will enable it.
Currently, there are no official details available on this year’s MWII from Activision itself. However, the launch of the hyped game will also see the release of Warzone 2, the hit multiplayer.
