Fans have longed for the release of the next installment in the Zelda series. It has unofficially been called The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2. Nintendo, the official distributor of the game, has been quite stingy with regard to details about the sequel. They have not revealed a lot.

Apart from the fact that the title is slated to release sometime in 2022, nothing else is certain. However, it appears that new information has come to light, which will surely get fans excited.

Possible information on The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2

The Nintendo Indie World Showcase took place quite recently. While it is obvious that an event of this scale would focus exclusively on indie titles and not first-party titles. However, fans were still upset over the absence of any The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 content.

Gaming company IGN has a podcast of its own. The podcast, “Our Most-Played Switch Games of 2021” revealed some exciting information about The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2. It was Peer Schneider, the founder of IGN who broke this good news.

The founder initially said that he was expecting a trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 at the showcase. However, unfortunately, this did not happen. He then said that after the Indie Showcase, he hung out with people from the industry. He goes on to say that it is Nintendo is likely to have a good year ahead. He then implies that the absence of a trailer should not be a concern.

Just because a trailer is not showcased does not mean that the game might be delayed. This information provides a sigh of relief to the fans of the Legend of Zelda. As they are already without a lot of concrete information, this news acts as a solid reassurance.
