Avalanche Software and WB Games first announced their upcoming action-adventure experience, Hogwarts Legacy, back in 2020. Fast forward to today, fans are still awaiting a concrete release date for the game. In fact, with the developers holding back the release date, many are now speculating an overall delay from the original window.
As of now, Hogwarts Legacy is slated to release sometime in the Fall of 2022. However, a window isn’t enough for fans anymore. Moreover, the game was previously delayed from a supposed release in 2021 to 2022, leading to fans fearing more.

Hogwarts Legacy will be an open world adventure for fans, featuring the iconic Hogwarts School of Wizardry and Witchcraft from the 1800s. In fact, the developers have teased several intricate details from the original lore to be featured in the game. All Potter fans need right now is a release date to ease the anticipation!
To add to the fan fear and joy, a partly-discouraging speculation from an informant may turn out to be true. The informant did speculate a release date in 2022 but also shared that the date may be pushed to 2023.
Avalanche Software may push Hogwarts Legacy to 2023
A Hogwarts Legacy informant of the name ‘RetroRaconteur’ has given out a possible release date for the upcoming game of magic. According to him, the game may release on December 6, 2022. However, he also speculated a possible delay if things didn’t turn out according to plans.

While PlayStation and Avalanche Software have reiterated the release window of Holiday 2022 several times by now, a delay isn’t really impossible. This is especially because Hogwarts Legacy has previously suffered a delay.
On the other hand, Avalanche Software has not mentioned any delay in plans, so there’s no official reason to worry. They have also been teasing bits from the game, showcasing how perfect the environment and sound design are.
No matter how much fans want the game right now, the community will never want to experience the work unfinished. Hence, Avalanche Software will always want to polish up the game as much as possible before release.
Hogwarts Legacy will release on all major platforms, namely PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
