Fresh Rumors Suggest Bringing Famous Comic Characters to the Mortal Kombat Franchise

Mortal Kombat Reboot might get not one but two guest characters from the world of comics, so keep an eye out for them. 

Warner Bros. Mortal Kombat stands as one of the most anticipated games of 2023. After all, it is one of those titles that made all our childhoods special, keeping us glued to our screens for countless hours. Plus, it was a fun title to play among friends and host tournaments to make the extra cash. Soon, the game also featured its competitive scene, and as time passed, more sequels dropped. 

However, after releasing its 11th edition, the devs decided to spice things up for their community by changing the name. And now, we have another rumor that suggests a feature of two iconic comic characters in the upcoming game.

Homelander and Peacemaker might be making their way into Mortal Kombat Reboot 

According to Windows Central, Homelander and Peacemaker, both stand as a massive possibility in MK Reboot. This is because both share the exact goriness that one can expect from a Mortal Kombat game. But, to talk a little more about these characters, here’s all you need to know. 

First things first, DC launched Peacemaker in James Gunn’s Suicide Squad movie and the HBO Peacemaker spin-off TV series. He was the comical anti-hero that instantly ranked among the favorites as fans finally got a break from the Justice League characters. Plus, WWE superstar and pro wrestler John Cena picked up his role, doing justice to the character.

On the other hand, Homelander was first seen in The Boys, the series that Amazon TV brought to life. Homelander stands as one of the characters from the comics that received tremendous applause on screen. Despite being exactly the opposite of what Superman does, Antony Starr’s portrayal as the character has made fans fall in love with the spiteful villain who cares the least for the world.

Last but not least, Mortal Kombat is one of those games that always branches out for characters. It shelters many iconic characters such as John Rambo, Terminator, and RoboCop.
