Nintendo Switch is the latest Nintendo console, released back in 2017. Although its portability and exclusive collection of games make it a force to be reckoned with, Switch still remains quite outdated in terms of hardware. In fact, most fans face trouble running modern games at more than 30 frames per second.

It’s been five years since Nintendo released Switch’s first model. Following the same, the company continued to release slightly different versions of the console. However, Mochizuki mentions that he isn’t sure whether it was Nikkei’s individual report or something he caught in the interview with Nintendo’s president.

If the report is true, fans will have to wait for March 2023. In fact, there’s no knowing whether Nintendo will release a new console next fiscal year. As of now, fans can grab a Splatoon 3 Nintendo Switch instead!
