The current crisis of semiconductor shortage has resulted in a slowdown across various industries. And when it comes to the gaming sector, it has faced a very bad situation to say the least. Popular and trending consoles like PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S are nowhere to be found due to empty stocks. They are only available rarely when the stocks do arrive in limited capacities.

According to the executive, there’s a possibility of these consoles arriving back in large stocks later in 2022, due to progressive insight.

Some good news for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S potential buyers
As is already known, the chip shortage problem has affected various supply chains related to different electronic devices. Among them are also the gaming consoles like the PS5 and the Xbox Series X|S. These two latest generations of their respective manufacturers are hardly seen in retail stores these days. All thanks to the ongoing scarcity of the semiconductors.

However, the overall situation may take a turn, for the good, later this year, going by what Turtle Beach’s CEO told recently. As reported by Wccftech, Juergen Stark, discussed about the problem during the recent financial earnings call with the investors for Q1 2022.

“Our expectation is that the supply constraints will abate significantly by the time we get into holiday”, Stark said. His response was to a query regarding the availability of the consoles throughout this year.

He also added that there’s no more long delivery times that used to impede the supply. So his company is able to put in orders way head of time.
Hopefully, anyone who’s still waiting for a PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S will get the chance to have either of them by the end of 2022. What are your own expectations regarding the two popular devices?
