Fortnite recently collaborated with the famous anime series Naruto. Further, the battle royale game is planning another anime collaboration with the Dragon Ball Z series. Fortnite has undoubtedly pulled off many exciting collaborations with famous TV series, movies, and even with personalities like Neymar and Ariana Grande.

Fortnite is a free-to-play online multiplayer battle royale game. In this game, up to 100 players drop onto an island. These players fight each other until only one man is standing. It has a huge fan following around the globe. But the gameplay aside, the other reason for its popularity is the marketing via various collaborations.

Epic Games try to get fascinating collaboration for Fortnite every time. However, there have been some collaborations that the developers teased but never fulfilled. Fans eagerly waited for those collaborations but never got to experience them. Let’s look at some of those Fortnite collaborations that didn’t happen.

DOOM

The DOOM franchise is an absolute favorite for gamers who like shooter games. Moreover, DOOM showcased the best an FPS game can offer and still continued offering that experience with the latest installment DOOM Eternals. So, DOOM would have been an excellent choice to collaborate for Fortnite.

In April 2022, there were rumors about Fortnite collaborating with DOOM. A leaker even revealed seeing a Doom folder on a Fortnite developer’s computer during an Unreal Engine 5 stream by Epic Games. Fans were eagerly looking forward to this collaboration. However, it never came true.

Family Guy

Who doesn’t know the Griffin family? The Family Guy is among the most famous American adult animated sitcom. There were rumors that Epic Games planned to collaborate with the Griffins. The fans were thrilled to play characters like Peter and Chris Griffin in Fortnite.

When the leakers spotted the DOOM folder during the Unreal Engine 5 stream, they also spotted another folder labeled Family Guy. Everyone was eagerly waiting for the Epic Games to announce this collaboration officially. But it never happened, and it seems like it was failed leak.

Chris Hemsworth (Tyler Rake)

The famous Marvel actor Chris Hemsworth has collaborated with Fortnite. Epic Games released a Thor skin to promote Hemsworth’s latest MCU movie, Thor: Love and Thunder. However, there were rumors about another Chris Hemsworth collaboration.

The 38-year-old featured in the 2020 action movie Extraction, playing the role of a mercenary named Tyler Rake. In 2021, a data miner came across data that revealed clothes similar to Rake. Fans were looking forward to this skin, but it never came out.

Beyonce

Fortnite has collaborated with famous singers like Weekend and Psy. They turned the famous steps of songs like “Blinding Lights” and “Gangnam Style” into emotes. Fortnite dance steps, also called emotes, are popular among fans. So, it’s an incredible way of turning famous dance moves into a Fortnite emote.

Epic Games planned a rumored collaboration with another singer, and it’s none other than the R&B queen Beyonce. A leaker revealed that Fortnite might introduce her as an NPC, and her costume and dance moves from the Grammy-winning song “Single Ladies” would make their way to the battle royale game.

Lady Gaga

Last year Epic Games collaborated with the famous singer Ariana Grande to host the Rift Tour. It was a virtual event and was a colossal hit. Fans love the experience of this virtual concert where a Fortnite version of the famous American star was performing.

Recently, leaks are suggesting that Epic Games is planning for another virtual concert. However, they are rumored to collaborate with the 18-time grammy award winner, Lady Gaga. It could even become an even greater hit than Grande’s Rift Tour. However, it still hasn’t happened.

Undoubtedly, Fortnite has come up with many mind-blowing collaborations. Even these rumored collaborations seemed like great ideas. It would be interesting to see if these rumored ones can come to reality someday.
