The Summer Game Fest 2022 ended today after 2+ hours worth of exciting trailers and announcements. Although it didn’t feature some of the most speculated games, the event has covered many enticing titles. Fans got to indulge in extra gameplay content from much-anticipated titles alongside getting a taste of promising indie titles.
The show started with Street Fighter 6’s gameplay reveal and ended with an exciting confirmation of a The Last of Us remake. In between, we saw features from big titles like Callisto Protocol, One Piece Odyssey, Goat Simulator 3, Aliens: Dark Descent and more. We even saw exciting indie reveals like American Arcadia and Highwater in the Summer Game Fest, followed by many more at the Day of the Devs.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare II
Modern Warfare II featured at the Summer Game Fest with a thrilling gameplay reveal of more than seven minutes! The video featured a few iconic members of Task Force 141 infiltrating two cargo ships alongside the player, fighting dozens of enemies, and more. The level, called ‘Dark Water’, is a part of the campaign’s many other missions.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare II is slated to release on October 28, 2022, for PC, Xbox, and PlayStation.
Midnight Suns
2k Games wasted no opportunity to reveal three new characters for their much-anticipated tactical RPG. Alongside the trailer featuring Venom, Spider-Man, and Hulk, 2k Games has also opened up pre-orders for the game.
Midnight Suns releases on October 7, 2022 for major platforms like PC, Xbox, and PlayStation. Sadly, the once-promised Nintendo Switch version is missing from the pre-order section, for now.
Gotham Knights
DC fans also got to indulge in a fantastic reveal trailer for Gotham Knights. With the reveal focusing on Nightwing’s iconic role, we also witnessed a scene where he fights alongside three of his allies, Batgirl, Robin and Red Hood.
The Gotham Knights will team up against the Court of Owls in this much-awaited open-world, action RPG by WB Games. The title is expected to drop on October 25, 2022 with pre-orders on Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and PC open now.
Aliens: Dark Descent
One of the unexpected world premieres, a new Aliens game is on the way for 2023! Featuring an introduction to the story and some gameplay revelation, the trailer to Aliens: Dark Descent was perfectly balanced.

The gameplay looks quite thrilling with players dodging and killing Xenomorphs while completing missions. Dark Descent will undoubtedly be a treat for Aliens fans.
Aliens: Dark Descent will be available on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC, some time in 2023.

The Last of Us Remake
A perfect end to an exciting event, Neil Druckmann from Naughty Dog confirmed an upcoming The Last of Us Remake for PS5 and PC. Alongside this, he also confirmed that The Last of Us TV series’ production is almost complete. Well, we should get an official announcement any time now!

The Last of Us remake will be utilizing PS5’s next-gen capabilities, leading to a drastic graphical enhancement from the original. Moreover, it will also feature new content. The trailer revealed the release date for PS5 as September 2, 2022, with the PC port scheduled to release some day later.
