From Ellie to Kratos, PlayStation Characters Spotted in Baldur’s Gate 3 After a Successful Launch on PS5

Character creation is one of the most exciting and interactive features in RPGS. And Baldur’s Gate 3 is no exception. After the successful launch of the game for PC, the devs at Larian Studios released the game for the PS5 on the 6th of September and it has gotten rave reviews already. And thanks to its character creation feature, it’s getting more attention from fans.

According to Metacritic, the PC release of Baldur’s Gate 3 received a rating of 96, pairing it for first place with Elden Ring. The PS5 release, on the other hand, scored a 97, a record, making it the highest-rated game according to the website. The success of the game on the PS5 inspired the PlayStation UK team to showcase several remakes of beloved PlayStation characters, using the game’s character creation mode.

One of the more exciting features of the game that makes it so interesting is its character customization capabilities. The game has one of the most complex character creation sections. It allows players to really explore their creativity by making a unique character of their own. 

Many players have taken advantage of this mechanic to bring in characters from other games into Baldur’s Gate 3. The official PlayStation UK page went ahead to recreate some iconic characters in the character creation mode of the game.

The post included a video of the team recreating Kratos and Freya from God of War, Aloy from Horizon, and Ellie from Last of Us 2. 

 

Fans loved looking at what the PlayStation UK team was up to and they started posting their own characters in the feed. To add to the character remakes, the page also shared an older post in the comments. 

The PlayStation UK team also recreated characters in Street Fighter 6, which was shared in the comments. However, it wasn’t as impressive as the recreation in Baldur’s Gate 3.

Fans are excited to create their own characters in Baldur’s Gate 3

Many players loved the showcased remade by PlayStation UK. Several of them went on to share their custom characters and remakes. 

Fans started to notice the Twitter page of PlayStation UK in action and have become a fan of their tweets.

As opposed to the rugged looks in the God of War games, Kratos has a relatively smoother appearance. A user has cheekily pointed it out, describing this version of Kratos as “Pretty”.

The trend of calling Kratos pretty didn’t stop there. One fan also stated that “Kratos looks more feminine and beautiful than the female characters.”

One fan went on to recreate Kratos’s son with a twist, a half-elf Atreus.

In a unique rendition of Kratos, a fan went ahead to make a healthy dwarf Kratos, which left the crowd in splits. The dwarf Kratos has a very similar style to his dwarf allies in the games, Brok and Sindri.

Baldur’s Gate 3 has many amazing features and mechanics to tamper with. As character customization comes from the core of every RPG, the tweet generated a lot of buzz. Remaking characters from different games using character customization is definitely a fun way to play the game.
