

Olympic Games have always been a crowd-favorite event. With multiple athletes coming together in the arena to duke it out, this event has always been a spectacle to watch. When the Olympic committee announced an event for the eSports category, it felt like a dream come true for many gaming fans. They also revealed a list of video games for this event, including Fortnite.
Now the auspicious event is moving towards its final week. And here is what fans should know about to make the most of the coming Olympic Esports Week 2023.

What games will be played during the Olympic Esports Week?
The Esports week contains 10 official eSports finals over the span of three days. All finalists will gather in the Suntec Convention Center, Singapore to compete for the top of their category. Fans interested in watching the event can stream it on the official Olympics website from 23 to 25 June.

The finals will take place on the following dates for each category.
23 June
- Just Dance (dance sport)
- Virtual Regatta (sailing)
- Tic Tac Bow (archery)
- Zwift (cycling)
24 June
- Tennis Clash (tennis)
- Fortnite (shooting)
- Chess.com (chess)
- WBSC eBaseball: Power Pros (baseball)
25 June
- Gran Turismo (motorsport)
- Virtual Taekwondo (taekwondo)

However, that is not all this event will be offering. For the development of eSports as an Olympic game, the International Olympic Committee has also announced show matches for various titles.
List of exhibition matches in the upcoming event
While the competition will be raging on in these matches, there will also be some exhibition matches. These matches will showcase the popular eSports title among the fans. Although they will be friendly matches, the teams competing will surely show their competitive side. On June 23, there will be a Rocket League show match with the best teams in the title. Although all the participants of this match are not revealed, it is confirmed G2’s women’s Rocket League team will be there.

On June 24, Virtual Table Tennis will be played with VR Eleven. Finally, on June 25, there will be a double-feature event with NBA 2K23 and Street Fighter 6 show matches. Top players from around the world will take part in Street Fighter 6. Furthermore, players from Turkey, Brazil, and the Philippines will take part in the eFIBA exhibition match on MBA 2K23.
