The official Twitter account for the Hitman game recently tweeted out to John Wick’s team, congratulating them on the release of the new film.

While there may be no crossover between the two assassin worlds yet, fans have started speculating whether there is a new movie in the works.

Fans are looking at this as a chance to combine multiple assassin worlds. User @Galaxygamerone stated a John wick skin and a new hitman game crossing over with James Bond would be amazing. Fans still await a new Hitman title.

User @albertmbing225 pitched John wick against Agent 47. Whatever may be the outcome of their battle, the battle itself would be epic to watch.

Rejected Hitman movie by James Gunn

While John wick’s movie franchise is a box-office success, the same can not be said about the Agent 47 franchise. Critics and gaming fans poorly received the Hitman movie, although it earned a lot at the box office. The movies did not stay true to the source materials from the game.

But there was an attempt to revive the franchise by James Gunn. Guardians of the Galaxy and Suicide Squad fame director James Gunn once pitched a Hitman movie and got rejected. Gunn pitched a Hitman movie and was rejected by the producers.

Gunn is thankful to the producers now that they rejected his pitch. This rejection led him to make the fan-favorite Guardians of the Galaxy series. Gunn stated when he pitched the Hitman movie to producers in 2017, they backed out for the sole reason of not making an R-Rated Hitman movie. 

While the fans may not be getting a new Hitman movie in recent times, The John Wick sequel is breaking records. The sequel debuted at number 1 in all 71 countries it was launched. The recent release of this sequel also means the fans hoping for the crossover between them will also have to wait. But even if it is a DLC in hitman games or a movie, fans will have a treat watching these two assassins go head-to-head.
