We all remember visiting and re-visiting some of the game’s locations again and again. The developers might have wondered if they can add some more elements to these areas. And that probably resulted in a bunch of side quests.

Players can now find a blue flyer in several areas; these flyers would instruct players to do one thing or another. Completing these quests would result in them earning a bunch of treasures.

Leon now parry’s attacks

Leon Kennedy is a very agile soldier; the ex-cop knows how to handle his weapons and there’s no shortage of weapons in Resident Evil 4. As long-time fans might remember, earlier Leon was able to shoot weapons thrown at him in the air.

And now if players predict an incoming attack at the right time, they can instantly parry that attack and reverse the damage.

Extra knives to make things easy

Knives in Resident Evil 4 made a lot of things easy. They serve a similar purpose in the remake, and this time around, Leon can hold more than one of them.

The animations for knife takedowns have also been enhanced. You can still kill staggered enemies using those knives, only these kills look way better now.

Stealth mode

Remember those overcrowded areas where a bunch of enemies surrounded you and finished you off within seconds? Some of those areas can be made easy by crouching and clearing a handful of those enemies with stealth.
