Fans were thrilled after Sega announced the next chapter of the Sonic series. The Sonic Superstars announcement came as a pleasant surprise for the fans. Sonic fans rejoiced as the Summer Game Fest 2023 included everyone’s favorite blue hedgehog. Sonic Superstars is a venture that is an innovative experiment of a 2D outing sporting some 3D graphics. 

Sonic Superstars’ trailer looks like a promising visual experience with interesting additions to the previous format of the game. Fans were quick to notice a few cool details from the updates made public till now.

Character Insights In The Upcoming Sonic Superstars

The first glimpse of the title and further updates have mostly focused on detailing the characters and their attributes. Fans have some interesting picks from the information on character settings. This time the game has adapted to a new format. All these characters will be set up in a new setting called the North Star Island which features jungles, tropicals, and an interesting cyberspace zone.

A player can play the entire game with up to three players that can drop in at any time during the course of the game. One can choose any player between Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy Rose all having unique abilities.

The famous character of Amy Rose has the special ability to smash through the walls in the journey through her hammer. Another addition to the new venture is that the fans can choose the look of the character. If a player wants to change the classic model look, the website will have a subscription available till January 2024. 

Fang The Sniper

Fang The Sniper made his debut in ‘Sonic: Triple Trouble’. Ever since then, it made more appearances in Sonic Fighters and the comic book series. Being an underrated character for so long, the makers have claimed Fang to have a bigger and more impactful role in the upcoming title. Fans speculate the character is the enemy in the title.

Sonic Superstars: Return Of A Legend 

Sonic Superstars also marks the homecoming of the legendary original designer and artist Naoto Ohshima to the franchise as confirmed by the makers. As the original designer of the Sonic series, he will be bringing an all-new character to the franchise. The makers plan to bring not just new enemies but new abilities in the forthcoming title. While two of the enemies are speculated to be Fang The Sniper and Eggman. Although, the third antagonist still remains a mysterious adversary.

Sega’s upcoming title looks gorgeous with its immersive 3D innovations. The makers have also provided subtle glimpses of new abilities added. These new attributes include Sonic being able to swim up a waterfall and Sonic clones unleashing powers. The trailer has really impressed the fans with everything new it promises to offer. The makers are yet to announce a release date, but fans hope the title might be out before the year-end.
