The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is just a few weeks away from release. This makes its prequel, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, feel a tad outdated. Breath of the Wild has been out for six years now. However, the game is still surprising fans with the amount of hidden Easter eggs. With a vast open-world map and many abilities at Link’s disposal, players are always finding new Easter eggs and tricks.

These tricks can be used to complete side quests and primary missions faster, or simply to revel in the game. Recently, a YouTuber found one such Easter egg after 5 years of playing this game.

YouTuber Enluminis released a YouTube short, showing a hidden Easter egg. While many fans would consider birds to be merely decorative in video games, Breath of the Wild had an important role. While roaming around in Hyrule, if players see a flock of birds circling a certain location, they must follow them. The flock of birds is circling directly above a hidden shrine where players can find collectibles. An ingenious addition by Zelda.

In The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, birds can be used in a variety of ways. Cucco in Hyrule is a docile chicken until provoked. When provoked, these birds flock in swarms to attack. As a result, players have devised a strategy for dealing with difficult enemies.

Simply, grabbing a Cucco and placing it in the enemy’s line of fire will cause these docile chickens to attack the enemy. This certainly puts a humorous spin on a tense situation.

Magnesis Rune gives players a way to move around faster

The Magnesis Rune is a useful ability Link unlocks that allows him to attract or repel metal objects. However, this power can also be used to move quickly in the huge open world of Hyrule. One way to use this rune is to fly. The flying machine is created by combining a metal block and an abandoned mine cart and is controlled by magnetizing the mine cart with Link’s Magnesis rune. Once the player reaches a certain altitude using the rune, they can jump off the mine cart and glide to their destination.

Combining a metal treasure chest and a mine cart again with Magnesis rune can glide Link around. Place the chest in the front of the Kart with Magnesis Rune and it will propel Link forward. This method may not be as easy to master but is surely fun.

The interaction of various characters with the world around them is part of what makes Breath of the Wild such a joy to play. Seeing a pack of Bokoblins trying to hunt a wild boar or dancing around a crackling fire brings the world to life. However, unless you happen to lead a Stone Talus into a Guardian’s territory, the enemies in Breath of the Wild don’t really interact with one another.

Tristan Cooper, a YouTube user, captured the moment he provoked these two behemoths into fighting. Both had their sights set on Link at first, but that changed when the Stone Talus accidentally struck the Guardian with a rocky blow. This led to both giants feuding it out, with Stone Talus emerging victorious. Players can replicate this move to win against the Guardian.
