This year we had no shortage of good games. From Elden Ring, Horizon: Forbidden West to God of War: Ragnarök, we saw many games that were just perfect. Some introduced new ideas, some told similar stories in new ways, and some just gave us a conclusion to a story they started long ago. There were also games like The Callisto Protocol that gamers were waiting for anxiously.
While there are many games that met up to the fans’ expectations, there were also many that did the opposite. On that note, we will be looking at the games that disappointed the fans all over the world.

The Callisto Protocol
The Callisto Protocol showed a lot of promise. It was made by one of the most celebrated game directors in gaming and it was a spiritual successor to a beloved series of games. But when it launched, fans noticed that its PC version was not up to the mark. It had major performance issues.

And in the gameplay department, it was written down for being full of quick-time events. The developers of Callisto Protocol, though, made it clear that they would be working hard to fix most of the issues that players are facing.
Gotham Knights
This was a game that a lot of DC comics fans were waiting for. Developed by WB Montreal, this game’s initial trailers showed a lot of promise. It had an intriguing premise, and it had some of Batman’s most reliable sidekicks fighting The Court of Owls in his absence.
But when Gotham Knights launched, it was broken. According to fans it had no performance mode on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S. It had lackluster repetitive gameplay and its story did not live up to all the hype it had garnered.
Some say that this was due to last-minute changes the developers had to make to the game. They reportedly had to change it from an always online live service title to single player experience.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are two games that were destined for success. They are part of a series that would have to do a lot of stuff wrong to fail. This time too, these latest titles were immensely successful. They had a lot of news to offer and their gameplay was top-notch.
But these games again were plagued by performance issues and visual glitches. Developer Game Freak and publisher Nintendo have made it clear that they aim to fix this game for its players.
