Hence, people are now paying closer attention to what this game’s developer, FromSoftware, is going to do next. One of the games they have announced is Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon, but it appears there’s much more incoming!

The Elden Ring and Bloodborne developer might be working on yet another huge game!

If one creates a game like Elden Ring, a game that sets several records within a year of its launch, they have a big responsibility. It is to keep up with the legacy of that game by making their next one even better, or at least as good.

Some are seeking that answer in Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon. That sure looks like an exciting game, but it’s not something that can be compared to Elden Ring, as the directors of those games are different. Hidetaka Miyazaki directed Elden Ring, while Armored Core VI is being directed by Masaru Yamamura.

So, what is Miyazaki working on? A recent leak on 4chan suggests that he is working on a huge game that goes by the codename Spellbound. This game is said to be a little smaller than Elden Ring.

Gameplay-wise, it would have spells as weapons; players could use wieldable spells and use them as swords and axes. It is being said that the attack pattern would be similar to every SoulsBorne game, using R1 for light attacks and R2 for heavy attacks.

The biggest thing that is being said is that it would be set in an 18th-century Europe-inspired fictional world. Even though it sounds somewhat similar to Bloodborne, this game might not be a sequel to the masterpiece. Another big thing is the fact that this new game would feature a huge legacy dungeon under the main world. This dungeon would be the size of all those huge Elden Ring dungeons combined.

This is yet again similar to the Chalice Dungeons in Bloodborne. People have high hopes that this game might turn out to be Bloodborne 2. Hopefully, fans would not have to wait much longer to be sure, as the leak suggests this game to be announced during The Game Awards 2023. And a full reveal is expected to come in 2024.
