While TikTok had its time ruling the markets, other social media giants entered the space to keep pace. MrBeast had an interesting take over this during his Full Send Podcast feature as he laid down some thoughts in conversation.

He felt that YouTube would take over TikTok soon as they launched Youtube Shorts a while back. While they had a similar concept to its rival, they catered to a different style, allowing them to bag much more exposure compared to others. They also have the upper hand, as YouTube existed far earlier in time compared to TikTok. So, ideally, it has already marked its territory in the market.

“I thought the same but YouTube Shorts, they’ve really taken some huge strides,” Jimmy said while stressing more on the topic. In January, YouTube launched a service to allow its creators to mint money even with YouTube shorts. They started a “partner program” where creators could earn ad revenue in the ‘Short’ space.

“So starting in January, if you get like, hypothetically, a billion views on TikTok, whatever that is, that’s like $1,000. A billion views over here on YouTube? I mean, that could literally make you like $100,000,” MrBeast said, supporting his platform.

Jimmy thinks TikTokers might transition to YouTube soon

After sharing his thoughts along with numbers, MrBeast also shed light on TikTok’s creators. He said that celebrities like Addison Rae and Charli D’ Amelio would soon transition to this platform as they understand what’s best for business. I mean, it all depends on when YouTube makes the Shorts program worldwide accessible as then it would just be a matter of months before the red platform reigns over the ByteDance franchise.
