Activision’s Call of Duty Modern Warfare II trailer was a grand success, as fans highly appreciated the franchise’s work. More than the appreciation, they were finally happy to have a release date for what they considered as the most anticipated title. However, new rumors have swirled around the internet, claiming a new ‘Tarkov-inspired’ game mode is being added to Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2.
A Twitter user revealed this information via post as he mentioned a few more details about the game mode. Apart from that, he also spoke about its release date and a few other features.

Modern Warfare fans enthralled as rumors claim a Tarkov-inspired game mode!
Modern Warfare II’s prequel came out in 2019, limiting fans to a single title under the series. Fans complained about the scarcity of titles, ultimately giving rise to the production of Modern Warfare 2. But, post the production announcement, the franchise delayed the game by years until announcing it this year.

Now, post the trailer and a few other updates about the game, rumors have swirled talking about a new game mode. Twitter user Ralph revealed this information in his latest tweet. He said, “Modern Warfare 2: ‘Tarkov-inspired’ mode, currently dubbed ‘Project Nexus’, set to release free-to-play for 2023.

Previously, Ralph had also mentioned the game mode being under production for over four years. He believed that the mode went through multiple changes before reaching its final stages of development. So now, let’s look at how fans reacted to this.
So COD will release other modes (Battle Royale, EFT like Mode, Zombie Mode next year maybe?) as Free2Play but couldn't release a Free2Play Multiplayer for PC & Console Globally?

What can players expect from this mode?
As of now, we believe that Infinity Ward will do a traditional release of the Modern Warfare 2 having 3 game modes: Single-player, Multiplayer, and an all-new Co-op experience. Along with that, fans have rumored its DMZ as an Open-World title, following an elaborate storyline in continuation from the Campaign: chronicling particular Characters, Fronts, and Quests, incorporating aspects of PvE and PvP events.
