If one follows this path, they reach Nokron a long-lost eternal city, filled with secrets and paths toward one of the secret endings of this game.

Subterranean Shunning-Grounds

There is no shortage of well-hidden secrets in Leyndell, the capital city; there are stories of an omen trapped in the underground of this city. This omen can only be found through the place’s sewers, and if one pushes through the horrors they witness in those sewers; they find even deeper and darker nightmares.

Subterranean Shunning-Grounds is where this place ends, a place where chaos resides and it is flame flickers. There’s a dark story to it too, it is recommended players uncover that story themselves for maximum effect!

Consecrated Snowfield

This place acts as a bridge between the Lands Between and that place called Helig Tree, one that Miquella grew with his own blood. This place is also the last stage of this game’s most obscure side quests.

And it’s home to a very heartbreaking story of a sacrifice that did no good.

Miquella’s Haligtree

Heligtree is the final destination for players looking to fight Melenia. Tiptoeing on its branches and dodging attacks that can make them fall off that tree, just might be the most challenging area in the game.

It reminds many Soulsborne veterans of the city of Anor Londo. Let’s not forget the time those archers made everyone’s lives hell with their giant arrows. A similar experience can be had here.

Mohgwyn Palace

Previously mentioned places in this game have been hard in terms of difficulty but not so hard to get to. But this place is pretty hard to reach. Those who wish to get here early in the game can follow White-Faced Varre’s convoluted questline. This would lead them straight to this place.

Otherwise, it is only accessible from a gateway teleporter in the frozen west of Consecrated Snowfield. But players must understand, getting here early would not prove rewarding in any way, as it is home to one of the hardest bosses in this game.

Deeproot Depths

It’s even impossible to know that this place exists if one does not specifically hear about it. Getting to it is equally tricky. But if one follows the quest line where they have to find D’s brother, they might reach this place pretty fast.

Just find the Siofra Aqueducts in Nokron City, and then defeat those dual gargoyle bosses. Once one has dealt with them, one should find an open coffin in that area and hop into it. This coffin would lead players to the Deeproot Depths.

Hidden Path to the Haligtree: Secret Catacombs

In a bunch of catacombs that open from end to end, this is one of the best hidden locations in Elden Ring. Players defeat enemies and go on their straightforward path without giving those broken railings a second thought. But only a few realize that jumping down one of those broken railings lands them on an invisible path.

Just focus on where the dust touches that path or where enemies are walking, and keep following it till the end. And those who follow these instructions might find themselves at the Consecrated Snowfield.

Abandoned Cave in Dragonbarrow

In Caelid, there’s a location called Dragonbarrow. If one remembers that huge canyon that leads players to those dueling grounds riddled with giants, they would notice a tree branch that gave them a path into a hidden cave.

Some expert maneuvres would lead them to this cave, but there’s nothing special to be found here, only some enemies.

Sellia Hideaway

If one is looking for Sellia in order to help or kill her, the circumstances would lead them here. But this does not mean it is an easy place to get to. The questline itself is very obscure, but if one finds this place, the reward is not bad either.

But players should bring a blunt weapon here because eventually they will have to find a trio of bosses, and they are hard, and the only thing that’s effective on them is blunt damage.

Jarburg

A place so secret that it was only made accessible through a game patch. Thus, Jarburg can be considered one of the most difficult hidden locations in Elden Ring from the initial release. One of this game’s most popular NPCs is Jar Bairn. He is on a quest to be the ultimate warrior. His search leads them to the far corners of the Lands Between.

But what of his homeland? Well, it’s Jarbug, and players even find Bairn’s kin there. A heartfelt tale then follows cowards finding courage and people leaving their past behind.

This story alone makes this place worth a visit, and what’s best is that it’s just a few jumps away! East of Liurnia of the Lakes, if players look down a cliff, they will see some tombstones sticking out of the wall; they just have to use them as stairs and head down.
