The University of Texas has announced a new esports arena in collaboration with some gaming giants from the industry.

While gaming has been around for quite some time, it’s only now that esports is getting the attention it deserves. From the early days of Tetris championships, gaming has evolved considerably. Such progress has prompted academics and passionate gamers to come forward to help elevate the gaming industry to the heights.

Dell Technologies partners up with UT to introduce new expansive gaming space

The University of Texas has partnered up with Alienware and Dell to extend a helping hand to its gamer students. The Longhorn Gaming Club has 900 registered students. Along with these casual gamers, there is also a considerable number of competitive gamers at the University of Texas. The new 3,400 square-feet arena will certainly be a great new addition to the University’s Longhorn Lounge which was opened up for the students in August 2022.

The new arena in the Texas Union will enable both casual and competitive gamers to have a space where they can spend time engaged with their favorite sport.

The authorities at the university strongly believe that the new arena will definitely benefit the university to mark its place in the competitive gaming domain.
