Genshin Impact: Lantern Rite 2023

Genshin Impact has officially announced its yearly edition of the Lantern Rite event. The Liyue festival is a commemoration of the Chinese New Year and will be filled with music and other activities.

Lantern Rite will kick start the 3.4 updates of Genshin titled “The Exquisite Night Chimes”. The trailer of the event was filled with content aimed to excite the Genshin players. Fans were able to see some of their favorite characters from Liyue making appearances in the trailer. The festivities are led by Hu Tao and Xinyan. Xiao and many other characters also were seen during the festivities.

What to expect in 2023 Lantern Rite

This festive season, fans will finally get the much-anticipated rerun of Hu Tao. One of the most prominent Pyro characters, Hu Tao has not gotten a rerun for a pretty long time. And finally, she is getting one. Yelan will also get her first rerun after v.2.7.

The second phase will feature the return of yet another fan favorite. Xiao will also come back to the wish banners to commemorate his annual return to Liyue. Moreover, fans will finally be able to play Yaoyao. She was announced in 2021 and travelers were eagerly waiting for her arrival in the game.

The festivities do not stop here! At the end of the Lantern Rite event, players will be able to invite one of the four-star Liyue characters to their party. Chances are Yaoyao will also be among these characters. And moreover, players will only get one chance to redeem a character, so choose wisely.
