Genshin Impact has always been the talk of the town in the gaming community since its release. In addition to that, it won several awards back in 2020 and 2021 at the Game Awards. Owing to its enormous popularity, fans were naturally expecting Genshin to win the ‘Best Mobile Game Award’ for two consecutive years.

Unfortunately, all the expectations were turned into disappointment as Marvel Snap snatched that title away from HoYoverse this year. Regardless, the disappointment among fans didn’t last for long, as developers announced the upcoming 3.4 characters on Twitter.

Two new characters will arrive in Genshin Impact 3.4 Update

One of the major reasons behind Genshin’s tremendous popularity is its in-game characters. Several players invest in newly released characters to get their hands on them. Furthermore, developers have recently introduced the Dendro element to the game even after two years of its initial release.

Indeed, the addition of the Dendro element has completely changed the entire meta because of which several fans are always looking forward to new Dendro characters. Interestingly, HoYoverse has finally announced the release of Yaoyao at the Game Awards, which was rumored to be in the works since the start of 2022.

During the Game Awards, fans were stunned by the sudden appearance of Yaoyao on their screen. The clip lasts for a few seconds, with Yaoyao moving about before acting excited; however, it didn’t include her gameplay. Thus, players will have to be patient for a few more weeks before HoYoverse officially releases the Yaoyao gameplay.

Just when fans thought the event was over, HoYoverse went on Twitter to announce one more character release in the 3.4 update. The character also belongs to the Dendro Element; however, unlike Yaoyao, he’s not a four-star character. Alhaitham is the upcoming five-star Dendro character and fans are expecting tremendous damage as he’s rumored to be the Main DPS.

He’s been in the game for several updates but will be playable in Version 3.4. Naturally, the announcement of the two Dendro characters surprised the entire Genshin community within seconds. Furthermore, it even beat Elden Ring (GOTY 2022) and won the Player’s Voice Award.
